Flock. Day (this is how we do it!)
One of our bi-weekly Flock. Days, this time at Jerre's home base
Our next Flock. Day is on December 22nd 2022. We meet every 2 weeks in our office to do what we love the most. We try out new things and discuss the latest and greatest in software. At 16.00 there's usually a meetup (both live and online - pls follow our Meetup page for more info) and at 17.00 we start the weekend with a free flow of drinks at the Flock. bar. Want to join for the entire day or a part of it? Drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org
For you it's obvious, Kotlin is the next big thing and it'll bring your team to the next level. You see clear advantages, but others are not quite there yet. In his talk Julien Lengrand-Lambert from Adyen will describe the ways he found to get Kotlin inside ING, one of the largest European banks. He'll look into simple ways to convince your colleagues and your management as well as show how to make it a success for everyone!
The NS International Planner, the official Dutch railway app, was originally built with AngularJS. As the first version became outdated, Flock. joined the team in charge of the migration towards Angular 6 (and all the subsequent versions).
"Practice is a great approach to learn new skills, whether you’re a baby or a software engineer." We have many books in our living room but “Proper spoon usage for babies and toddlers. A practical approach” isn’t one of them. My son Fedde (aged 9 months) is getting better and better at it nonetheless.
